| Friday, February 3, 2012 Mass Effect: Homeworlds #2 cover process Think that if you're a cover artist you just draw a cover and all is perfect? Well, think again. Some times covers take a tremendous amount of work to get right. Here's an example of that:
Though it was hard getting through this cover, I think the end product is worth it. I'd rather fight with a cover and get it right than just have it come easily and end up with something I'm not happy with long term.
There you go.

| Thursday, February 2, 2012 Mass Effect: Homeworlds #2 cover Hey all!
I've seen my second cover for Mass Effect: Homeworlds floating around the web, so I figure it's safe to share the first two covers linked up here.
All four covers will link up together and form a huge, unstoppable image. (It'll be the Voltron of comic covers! ;)
Here is the first cover's post.
I'll upload some process art for you folks in a day or so. Keep and eye out.
Best, Mike

| Tuesday, January 31, 2012 Remember the "Game Changer"?
Followers of this blog may remember my posts about a secret "game changing" book I wrote and drew.
Well, it's been a while since I've spoken about it but that doesn't mean the project is dead. It's very much alive, just taking it's lumps. Which, if you know anything about me or this book, is perfectly fitting.
I won't bore anyone with all the behind the scenes mess. I will say that the book has BEEN finished for quite some time (I wrapped it up before starting Conan, and the end of Fear Agent!), and publishing-wise things seem to be coming to a head.
I want to thank everyone who has asked about the project, hoping for good news. Knowing you're excited about the project makes me want to fight that much harder to have it finally come out!
Stick with me a little longer. We'll get there.
Previous "Game Changer" posts (Forgive any previous cheesy language. Emotional investment makes me talkative ;) Part I Part II Part III Part IV Part V Part VI Part VII (sort of)
best, Mike
